Delete your account
In the app
- Open Just and tap Account (top right).
- Tap Delete account, then Delete.
- Confirm the way you unlock your phone.
We delete it 7 days later. Until then your account works as usual, and Keep my account stops it.
Your money is not deleted. It stays in your account, and only you can move it. Send it somewhere first.
What we delete
- Your @name. We keep the name alone, for good, so no one else can ever take it and be paid in your place.
- Your photo.
- Notes you sent with money, thank-you hearts, and open requests to or from you.
- Your invite links, and the record of the link you joined from.
- Your WhatsApp number check.
- Notification tokens for your phones.
- Codes for the banks on the phones you tap Delete on, and family recovery requests.
- Your safety settings, like a daily limit.
- The ids our partners gave your account, and what we keep for them.
On that phone, Just forgets your account. Your phone keeps a sign-in for Just in its password manager. Remove it there if you like.
What we can’t delete
- Your account and the history of its sends. They live on a public network that no one can change.
- Records our partners keep under their own policies, like Coinbase (email sign-in), Cash App, Circle, and the app or partner you cash out with. Ask them directly.
- Abuse counts per internet address, which expire within two days.
- A Cash App payment still on its way, for up to 30 days, so it reaches you.
- With Breet, which account a bank’s payment address belongs to, so money it sends back still reaches you. Kept about 13 months.
- Receipts already opened for payments to you (the transaction, your @name or the name it showed, and what it was for), for 7 years, so a client’s check link still works.
Lost your phone?
Sign in on the new phone with your email. To keep a thief out, it can pay after 2 days. Your other phone can let it in sooner. To delete the account instead, write to support@sharejust.com with your @name, and we’ll delete what we keep once we know the account is yours.
